Can you see it?

The grass in my back garden is still 50% brown.

That happened because the climate changed this year and that happened because of climate change.

Despite how it rained last night people are still in a position where they’re in drought areas and hosepipe bans are in place and people are being asked to flush their toilets less or shower for less time or change their behaviour in a way that’s more dramatic than they would like.

Did you notice?

Did we all just continue to wash a few yogurt pots and put a can or two in the recycling bin whilst clicking on Amazon Prime once or twice or three times a day to order things that are delivered from China that we really don’t actually need.

Do we realise that if we don’t become a little bit more uncomfortable, we’re going to become a lot more uncomfortable very, very quickly?

Did we realise that when nation states bought football teams that their agenda is not quite the same as organisations who are 51% based in the fans (like Germany)?

Did we take their money regardless of anything else and take any potential punishment later?

The most important thing we could do to reduce the impact of what we’ve already done to our planet and to the climate is to vote for people who are prepared to make a difference.

I appreciate that the choice is pretty narrow at the present time, but populations always get the governments they deserve and if we’re not prepared to be a little bit less self-obsessed and entitled, we might be able to lift our head up and realise that we have vote for a little of uncomfortable to be around something worse than we can possibly imagine.
