For those of you who are old enough, who remember the iconic monologue ‘wear sunscreen’ by Baz Luhrmann which was number 1 at the turn of the millennium.
In that inspirational verse there is a passage about not worrying because it’s useless because your real worries never crossed your troubled mind.
He suggests that the real things to be concerned about are liable to blindside you on an idle Tuesday afternoon.
(The whole verse was actually written by a woman in Chicago).
This part of the passage though, demonstrates one of the fundamental truths of life.
If it was possible to see what was coming, it’s absolutely feasible that we would all live in a different way.
The funny thing is that it often is possible but for one reason or another, we seem unable to look.
Before this or that terrible thing happened, life was pretty close to perfect without us even realising it.
