Privileges

I always find it interesting to listen to people complaining about paying tax.

You never get a tax bill if you didn’t earn the money.

When you had no money, (and I remember well what that felt like!) you would have loved to have a big tax bill, because it would have meant that you’d of had a big income.

It seems like human nature to always turn the glass round to be half empty, even when its half full. It’s very much like complaining that you’re busy at work, when it’s your business or when it’s a business that you directly benefit from. I promise you, that the stress from being quiet is much worse than the stress from being busy (ask the guys who used to work on the shipyards in my home town).

When we see paying tax as a privilege, or being busy with patients or customers as a privilege, it gives us the opportunity to move along to more important things, to better things, to making a difference.
