Oliver Burkeman's new book is on preorder. You can sign up via this link.

It's called Meditations for Mortals.

Oliver Burkeman is one of the only people whose blogs I read every time they are published (along with Seth Godin).

Oliver's writing impacts my life heavily in the best possible way. I listen to what he says, and it often seems like he's writing to me.

He only publishes every few weeks. I don't know what the cadence is, but when it drops into my inbox, I pretty much stop what I'm doing and read it.

He writes beautifully and skilfully; he's wise and profound.

It would enhance your life to read it.

Oliver's blog is more like a newsletter about what he was thinking about, but there are lots of aspects of it that I remember because it doesn't produce every day, as Seth's blog does.

In any event, there's a note at the bottom of each of his blogs that says he loves feedback and he reads them all but he can't answer them, really, because he gets too many.

He was asking, though, if anybody would preorder his book, which is about to be released after the huge success and massive impact of Four Thousand Weeks. You can get it here, and, in my opinion, you should definitely read it.

There was no chance I wasn't going to be buying this book as a hard copy and also buying it in audio so that I could get immersed in it when it comes.

It will probably land just at the right time for me when I've got space in my life to get to it, and I'm really quite excited about when it arrives.

And so I sent him an email, just hit reply to his newsletter and basically said his writing changes my life and enhances my life, and I'm glad that he does it, and he replied.

There is no need to know what he said here, but it was just his words to me. Isn't it amazing how one little piece of humanity, even delivered digitally, makes me want to write about it and tell you about it?

Imagine we remember that in our day-to-day lives, imagine we remember that what people are actually craving as they scroll on their phones, look through their WhatsApp, or send another digital message or an email is humanity.

Using technology to make you more human is genius, and it builds bridges, reputations and trust.

You should try it.
