Guys, here are a few brilliant things, one that you might want to help us with and one that you might want to be at.
1) Last year, in the summertime, I got the chance to do this crazy bat sh*t mental bike ride in the Pyrenees with Louis and Alex, and Carl driving us around, but at the same time, some of the guys at the practice did Race for Life, and between us all, we raised more than £20,000 for Cancer Research.
Very proud.
We're doing the Race for Life event again this year, and the guys at the practice are on it (no bike ride).
It's a fantastic thing, Race for Life, both for the team and the money we raise for people who need it more than we do.
So, I'd be grateful if we've helped you out in the past year in any way or if you feel any loyalty, if you click the link here and read about it and maybe think about donating just a few shekels to another great cause.
2) The other thing that's going on is the next meeting of a peer review group, which takes place on the 4th of May; for this one, we have Emma Wiggs.
Emma is an extraordinary individual.
It's another one of our peer review groups, which is non-dental as we jump between composites to inspirational para-athletes and then back to clinical.
Emma was traveling in Australia when she contracted an unidentified virus when she was younger, which caused the paralysis of her arms and legs.
Ultimately, her arms recovered, but her legs did not.
Few people can imagine anything worse than what happened entirely out of the blue when you were seemingly doing something you loved.
Emma went on to become a sitting volleyball champion, an international athlete, but then a highly acclaimed and successful para canoeist, winning multiple medals in multiple disciplines and games.
She works tirelessly in many different areas, and she's coming to tell us a story.
We donate to Emma's charity in relation to this work as she comes and attends, and the money that's collected on the night goes to that, too, but it has so much value and what we can learn and how we can be inspired in our own lives moving forwards.
She's talking here at the Peer review on this night, and you can come and see her if you want.
Just reply to this email, and we'll sort it out.
It is £20 for charity. It's just the cost of your time to be inspired and grateful and to meet somebody who has done something extraordinary.
Thanks for your time.
