12 Days of Christmas Part 3 - Asana

So, during these tips and hacks over this little 12 days of Christmas series that I am writing, one of the interesting ones I wanted to put across was a project management tool called Asana.

The best thing to learn how to use Asana is to go and watch the tutorial videos.

Our Asana has been used in the practice for over 7/8 years now and is now growing a little bit wild, but it will be trimmed down as we move forwards and it will help us become more and more effective and efficient as a team.

Asana organises deadlines and prioritises. What it also does though is it starts to reduce the amount of emails that are required.

It is a place to put your thoughts as soon as they come up, so you can take them out of your head and leave them be until you need them and it runs a whole load of different departments in our practice, including our senior leadership team, our marketing department, our patient journey department (CRM), our research department, our multidisciplinary team and all sorts of other things.

The Campbell academy business is set up around Asana and I also have my own personal workspace in Asana, where I can set targets and goals for family life and get better at that, but also for my own exercise projects.

We have investigated many different platforms and ways to work, but we will be sticking with Asana forever.

So far, we have never paid a penny for Asana, it is a free online resource. The Practice is getting to the size now where we will need to start paying, but it will be worth it for everything that we have had before and everything that we will have next.

If you’re looking for something in the Christmas holidays to start to organise you going forwards next year, you can do a lot worse than this.
