How do we prove ‘good enough?' How do we assess ‘good enough?' How do we demonstrate to others that we are ‘good enough?'
In my line of work people have letters after their name and it seems to open doors and allow opportunities to do things.
It’s time we stop pretending that a purposeful practice and a good level of experience are less important than letters after your name. When you were at college you passed exams for success and believed that would do it. Lots of people still believe that. The letters after my name are as follows:
BDS FDS RCS.
They are all ‘registerable qualifications’. It’s a joke because all they did was give me the opportunity to practice, a ticket to try to get better, and a ticket to try to be good enough.
