"Uncovering talent"

Written by Colin Campbell | 16/05/19 17:00

“There’s no such thing as exceptional people, only ordinary people doing exceptional things” – Me (I said that)

I shouldn’t be shocked anymore, but I am, when I take the time to talk to people who work with me, and I realise that they have talents and interests outside that, which I expected.

That happened to me again today, and it’s happened more times than I can remember.

Taking the time to talk to your friends or the people that you work with, about what they’re interested in, about their life, about, what their aspirations are, is only likely to uncover a craving to be better, a craving to grow and urge to be brilliant.

To save blushes I wont list specific examples here, but I have had working conversations with people who work for me, who were brand new and in a “basic role”,  who now are high level individuals in my business.

That scenario has happened time and time again, today I uncovered something again.

Who knows where it might go, but these things are always exciting, always invigorating and although it seems your helping out another individual by bringing them along, inevitably all they do is make you better yourself.
