The top of the mountain

Written by Colin Campbell | 25/06/21 17:00

I was offered a new job today after an interview.

It’s unpaid (in monetary terms) and is definitely one of those roles where I will get more out of it if I put more in but do I have the time to put the ‘more’ into it?

I was presented with a vision of an organisation moving forward that wants to get to a different place with an inspirational leader and asked if I would like to contribute and be part of it.

(Hint, it’s not within dentistry).

For me and for my personality type it’s very appealing and potentially hugely exciting but I have to always be careful that all I can see at the moment is the top of the mountain and I haven’t yet figured out what it will take to climb it.

I see this problem exist all around me; in all sorts of places and fall foul of it myself.

When I take the jump into something which could make a staggering difference in a small part of the world, I have to really figure out whether I’ve got what it takes to climb the mountain to get to the top that I can see now.
