The most important thing to do first is the most important thing.
The skill to understand what the most important thing is; is the most important thing to develop.
Last Friday I received a piece of paper (several pieces of paper actually) but the signing page was 1 page.
It was a 999 year lease for building 3 on the building site and I had to sign it, get it witnessed by someone who’s not a member of my family and have it read for collection today.
That bit of paper was worth more money than I have ever had anything to do with in my life I think, so it pretty much was the most important thing that had to be done that day.
(Just for clarity's sake a lot of that money I don’t actually get in the end because it washes through the project but never mind).
The funny thing is that it’s sat on my desk as I did other things that day, even though it was by far the most important thing that I should have done.
Glad to say that I finally got it done but when you go into work perhaps the first thing you could do is write down what the most important thing you have to do today is and then do it.
That would probably push thing forward every single day.
