Today was the day we set the course for a year from now (2 and 3).
The senior leadership team at the Campbell Clinic meet once a year for a full day; during this time, we take what we've learned from strategy planning and plan our strategy.
This is not to talk about the little niggles that annoy us or the little things that are problematic, but it's the huge big picture stuff, how we can make an enormous difference to us and everyone who works with us and is associated with us in the next 12 months.
There's a method for this (there are actually many), but the thing worth remembering about this is that it is well documented that 90% of all businesses in the world either do not have a strategy or do not properly follow the strategy.
It's not rocket science, and it's not a crystal ball; it's just a map. It's one that you've drawn, and one that you've made for you, not for anyone else; it's not impacted by what you've seen on social media or the things that you want that other people have, but it's objective and realistic, and tangible and controllable.
It allows you to set the work that you do and the space that you have, and no more than that and no less, and by the time you get to a year from now,w you will definitely be better than you were today.
