Disagreements between humans and human organisations are complex and often require subtlety to sort out the problem or the separation in a way that is (mildly close) acceptable to all parties.
This requires insight and empathy, and there's a complex problem for the right side of the brain.
It's not helped a lot if we produce large-volume documents with lots of clauses in place, because at the end of the day, (particularly in British law), if it goes to court, it'll be decided by a judge, not a computer.
We are not yet in the world of Judge Dredd, where a cyborg is the policeman, judge and executioner in one being.
It's really easy to produce an AI legal document now: heads of terms, contract of sale, etc, etc.
The problem is not the production of the document or the signing or getting the deal done.
The problem arises where there's a fallout or a separation of beliefs.
When this happens, an AI document is unlikely to help you.
If you want to succeed in the new world of AI (if we last long enough), the production of documents is not going to be the skill.
The healing of the separation and the building of relationships on the other side when things are broken is where the value will be.
As we've been saying for a long time here, use the technology to make you more human because being more human is about the only USP you have left.
