Saying Vs Doing

Written by Colin Campbell | 07/05/18 17:00

It’s the saying that’s the easy bit.

It’s the doing that takes the effort.

It’s the saying that people remember in the short time.

It’s the doing that people remember in the long term.

To say and then not do is to break the bond of trust that is developing or has developed, and to throw away one of the most valuable things we have.

It’s ok to say and then to try and fail, and to say you’ve failed and then explain why you’re not doing it anymore, but to say, ignore, move on and not do, that is the worst of things.

Today, as we sit here in the midst of the technological explosion that is life…

… saying is the easiest thing in the world.

You can say on multiple different platforms to hundreds and hundreds of people for almost nothing, day after day, hour after hour and minute after minute.

But it is still as hard to do as it has always been.

That’s why doing is valuable.
