You're here and there and everywhere, and to begin with, it's exciting, but afterwards, you're tired and a long way from your happy place physically and metaphorically and wondering why.
For years, I've understood that it's easy to get sucked into the rat race surrounded by people racing as fast as they can.
People that I admire, the ones who found the better way through, are the ones who were able to step out of the rat race and watch it from a distance.
Remember that John Lennon song about wheels going around?
It's possible to achieve the most amazing things, meet the most amazing people, go to the most amazing places, and yet still not be in the race.
Remember, Colin, if you are in the rat race, you are still a rat.
