I have many priorities in my life, often priorities which seem to conflict each other and seem to pull me in different directions at once.
When I find myself in that situation, I try to go back to principles.
I guess it's important that you have principles to start with, though.
Today was one of those days where I was being pulled in different directions for lots of reasons, one of which was Callum wanting to be collected from home to come to work, which has become a really important part of his life and a really important thing that he's doing to develop himself.
I didn't have time to collect them today, but nobody else did, either and so, I put some of my priorities aside and collected him and brought him to work.
When things are difficult, when things are confusing or when we have too many things to do, first go to principles and forget about priorities.
People who give up their principles to satisfy their priorities are the people who end up sad and distressed and depressed and torn apart.
