Pathological heroes

Written by Colin Campbell | 03/09/21 17:00

In the same way now (as Andy Warhol said) “everyone is famous for five minutes” so everyone seeks to be a hero for at least five minutes.

The problem with trying to be a hero, is that you first have to be kind to yourself.

You first have to be the hero that lifts yourself up in order to be the hero that lifts anyone else.

Many of the problems that we see around us come from people professing and proclaiming to be heroes when in fact, all they seek is the recognition of the hero and not the product of heroism.

True heroics are never seen and rarely ever recognised.

The real heroes are the people we pass everyday in the street trying to do the right thing day after day, trying not to fall foul of all the external forces that push them in the wrong direction.

The ones who succeed love themselves first before they save the lives of others.
