Ever since I met Alison, my wife, we've always had a world that's lived slightly in parallel to some of the rural farming community of Nottinghamshire and thereabouts.
Alison's been into horses and everything to do with horses since she was little, and in fact worked in Asda as a nursing student in order to pay livery for the horse that she had at the time.
A little over a year ago, we moved somewhere so that we could have horses at home, and she catapulted herself further into that world, that economy, and that philosophy.
Farmers and rural folk work hard, generally.
Really hard.
It's not a 9-to-5.
They work when the work needs to be done, and they rest when they can.
In the middle of the working days, they have the opportunity to look up and look around and just see some wonderful things, meet some wonderful people, be around people that they like, that they care about, that they respect.
This philosophy is not exclusive to farming.
It's absolutely possible to find a place or build a place that works like that.
You just have to see it and then do it.
