Off Again

I’m off again for January. This is the first notice for anybody who might want to get hold of me.

From the 19th December until the 5th February it will be ‘access no areas’.

Much less fuss will be made about it this year because I have done it and it’s no longer new (it is my intention to repeat it year on year).

But when we discuss it together and you make suggestions to me about what I should do with my time off, don’t worry if I don’t immediately bite your hand off.

I have a pretty fair idea of how to do it having done it once already and I am pretty cool with what I want to get out of it this time (which surprisingly is not a great deal and for me that is actually the point).

For you though it is different, when doing it for the first time you would want do this and that and you would feel the need to do something to make it significant. I did too when I did it for the first time. If you find yourself becoming frustrated with the fact that I seem to be ‘wasting it’ then why don’t you do it yourself, then you wouldn’t have to be frustrated with me because you felt that I wasn’t doing it right, we can then compare notes on how both of us did it.

50% of the reason of taking the time off work is to save myself from myself for the years to come. I’ll repeat that, save myself from myself for the years to come. The other 50% is to try and inspire you to do it.
