From my perspective and from the media that I consume it seems clear that there is a war in eastern Europe which exists on the border of Ukraine and Russia.
Depending upon your perspective both geographically and politically and philosophically you may disagree, but I think it’s beyond doubt that there is a conflict causing considerable carnage and distress to people in that part of the world both in Ukraine and Russia.
In April this year as news events started to unfold the ITI held their world AGM in Rome the week before I visited with my family and decided that they would offer the opportunity for Ukrainian clinicians to speak at ITI study clubs digitally in order to offset the fact that they were finding it difficult to provide any work at all in their own country, at least in some cases.
With that in mind they posted a directory of speakers who would be willing to provide virtual ITI study clubs and encouraged ITI study club directors across the world to investigate the prospect.
And so, this week on Wednesday, Vitaly Pchelnik, will be speaking at the Nottingham and Grantham ITI study clubs virtually from Ukraine.
This will go out as a national ITI study club broadcast in the UK and you can register via the QR code on the flyer below.
Attendees must be ITI members or guests who have not attended more than 2 ITI study clubs previously, so it’s effectively open to almost everyone.
Vitaly will be telling us what life is like for him at the moment before entering into a lecture on ProArch digital full arch reconstruction with new ways of rehabilitation of fully edentulous patients.
He will be talking through risk management, digital planning, surgery and restorative.
You may be attracted to this because of the clinical content or you may be attracted to it because of the situational content but I hope at least you’re attracted to it.
We will also be trying to raise some money on that evening specifically for people who have suffered during this conflict so watch this space and log in and we really hope to see you there.
