Marketing lies

Is anyone really falling for this stuff anymore?

While I was on the plane travelling recently, I saw an advert for a new development in Dubai.

The tagline for the advert is ‘a sense of space’

Having viewed the advert and the development from above, it's quite clear that ‘a sense of space’ means packed in tight and you don't have much space at all.

The whole place has been sold like a green oasis of safety and security of your own little bolt hole in the middle of a metropolis; the aerial footage of the advert would suggest otherwise.

Are we really still at the stage where people can be manipulated by words like this? Maybe it's true, and maybe it's a herd mentality. It's always worth remembering that all marketers are liars and everything is embellished.

Open your eyes and take a look for yourself; choose your path based on objective information, what you can see and what you hear. Never ever believe what you read in the adverts.
