I think we're all agreed that the direction of travel is for more news.
It's hard to believe that there could be more news, but there will be.
More ways to consume it, more ways to receive it, more opinions to hear, more arguments to referee.
I was at about the stage of too much news, maybe 15 years ago, and God knows there's plenty more now.
When will we understand that it's not possible to keep up, and so the thing to do is not to try to keep up? Except that there are many, in fact, billions of people who know more about other things than us, and then just stick to your lane and do your thing the best you can.
That's all people always did before all this news; that's what they should still do now.
