Laughing and ignoring

Written by Colin Campbell | 13/02/24 18:00

Over the last couple of days, I was reminded by just a couple of little incidents that the journey to any sort of success or application of your dreams or thoughts in a way that works is a tough path with lots of setbacks and heartache.

I think a long time ago, I heard this phrase uttered, and you'll know it, but we always need to be reminded of it.

And so, when you bring something new to the world, something different, whatever that is about yourself, first, you will be ignored because first, they ignore you.

Following on from that, you're likely to be laughed at least by a section of your would-be or not-would-be audience.

And then they will fight you.

They will fight you because they're scared and don't like what you're doing because they don't understand it, and then you will win.

First, they ignore you; then they laugh at you; then they fight you, and then you win.
