Anyone who has ever heard me speak about anything to do with implant dentistry will understand that I think putting implants in in the upper front part of the mouth is a detailed, complicated and technique sensitive procedure.
In our philosophy of guiding people through their journey in implant dentistry to be able to place 50 implants a year or more, competently within their practice for the rest of their careers, the jump from straight forward implant dentistry to advanced is one of the hardest to make. With an appropriate level of training it is not so difficult to place an implant in a site where the aesthetics are not critical and there is sufficient bone volume but this is almost never the case now at the front of the mouth.
Expectations are high in relation to aesthetics and function and patients are generally paying a considerable sum of money for a reconstruction in this area. An understanding of the techniques, science and art of implant dentistry in this area is absolutely fundamental in the move towards 50 implants per year or more. To begin teaching aesthetic implant dentistry to new implant surgeons is wrong (in my opinion) but it is something that is essential after the basics have been grasped.
To understand how you make your choices and deciding what type of technique to use in the anterior region is also critical. Not only based on research but also the fundamental principles of biology.
Our Aesthetic Live Skills course allows the opportunity to dig deeper into the advanced placement of anterior aesthetic implants from both a surgical point of view and also a restorative point of view. You then participate in a live surgery day on day 3 of the course where you are able to place an implant in an aesthetic case under mentoring situations, applying everything you have learned from the previous two days. If you are currently placing implants and want to get better at the ones at the front, or if you are thinking of making a jump to a far more advance stage of implant placement then perhaps this course is yours.
The dates are 23rd, 24th and 25th November and we are limited to 8 places in total so if you are interested then contact Tom below or click on the website.
We look forward to seeing you in Nottingham towards the end of the year.
