Human

There's a scene in that movie where the protagonist, Logan, tries to change his appearance through plastic surgery by entering a booth in a shopping mall which is robotic surgery with lasers.

The man who is touting the sale explains to Logan that the healing compound acts so quickly that you don't feel pain from the incision and the procedure is over almost instantly.

It was sci-fi at its best, a view into the future of how things would be when the robots were able to treat us entirely, quickly and cheaply at our convenience.

That was in 1975 and almost 50 years later, we're reaching a point where we’re much closer to that than the artists and the writers ever imagined we would be.

We're not quite there yet though, we have a little road to travel while the humans are still treating the humans face to face with compassion and empathy.

Until we get to Logan's run, it's best to remember that humanity is the best way to look after humans and while technology can assist us to be more human in our dealing with humans, it hasn't yet replaced humanity.
