When someone decides to leave a friendship group, a hockey team, a Boy Scout troop, or a business for what seems (to them) like a better offer, it's always worth remembering what a very wise friend taught me recently.
"You can't break up a happy marriage".
What looked great to you might not look quite so great to them.
Staying happily married in any of these environments is a constant working task.
Don't be sad when someone sees a better offer.
They just don't see the world the same as you do.
