Evolutions and revolutions

Unless we are completely stagnating, we are evolving.

Most of the time, through small incremental changes, we try to get a little bit better and a little bit better.

Over months or years, we see a difference if we're trying to be positive and move in the right direction.

Every so often, though, that's not enough, and it's impossible to move forward without jumping over a chasm.

This is the revolution.

Evolution for most of the time, and revolution for some of the time.

You can't have progress without both, though; it's not possible just to evolve all the time. You will have to deal with or even instigate the revolution.

Evolution is comfortable, and revolution is generally not.

Evolution is for some people and revolution for others (it's rare to find someone who gladly embraces both).

Understand, though, that both are coming, and both are here, and the way that you deal with evolution, and particularly revolution, will perhaps define who you are in the years to come.
