Living in the glass box

I sometimes feel like I am shouting and nobody is listening.

I see people I love, or respect or trust careering towards disaster or unhappiness and I am unable to give any advice or help because they don't listen.

Often this is a sign of a "yes, but" personality. The person you make a suggestion to and they say "yes, but I can't do that because..." but most of the time I just feel like I am living in a big glass box.

Most of the rest of the world is outside the box banging into the box but not noticing it and walking by. I am banging on the box and screaming and shouting but no one can hear me. It's perhaps a sign of my complete impending madness and hopefully it's not seen as an arrogance, but more and more people complain about how shitty their life is without realising that all they are doing is staring at the sun.

It is possible to change when things are shit. It is possible to see money as just a number and not an emotional object to have an unusual relationship with. It is possible to change the course of your life and to chart a route to happiness instead of unhappiness.

Sometimes from my glass box I see through the crowd and see another person in a glass box and then in the opposite direction, another person in a glass box. Perhaps the answer is to dig tunnels to the people in the glass boxes so that you can speak to them because I am beginning to think that the glass of the box is so thick that i'll never get out.
