Baz...again

It's almost 25 years since Baz Luhrmann released 'Wear Sunscreen'.

It was actually some writing by a woman academic, I think, in Chicago, for her students, but it was taken as a monologue and turned into an anthemic and emblematic speech released as audio in 2020.

It was like marmite, but it caught the moment for many people, and it certainly did for me.

The one line that always sticks out is, "Don't worry. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind."

It's worth remembering that every morning when you wake up (and I often do).

The things that are really going to derail your life you've not really thought about yet. Not really.

The anticipated stress we all have about first-world middle-class problems often gets washed away when we walk around the corner 'on an idle Tuesday afternoon' and get hit in the face by a cricket bat.

Tomorrow will be a good day until it isn't, so enjoy it until it isn't.
