2026 will be the year that the Campbell Academy operates educational activities regularly in three countries.
In 2025, we started in Dundee, it was the 16th edition of our year course, and by the end of 2026, we will have started 20-year courses.
The third and currently final piece of the jigsaw (although I'm refusing to accept that it might be the last one) is Belfast. What will happen is that in April we will start a year course in Belfast, for Ireland. We're hoping to drag this out; we're hoping to make this work for the whole of Ireland, but it's centred in Belfast. It's in Belfast, because I'm working fantastically with some of my best friends in and out of dentistry, David and Brenda Nelson.
David and Brenda had previously built one of the best practices in the United Kingdom and won the awards to prove it before selling the practice, moving on, and then starting again with something even bigger and better than they had before.
The Marlborough Clinic in Belfast is one of the most extraordinary institutions in dentistry that you will ever come across, and now offers wider healthcare opportunities for patients too, but for part of the year and for small pieces, it will host the Campbell Academy and the courses that we provide.
The year course in Belfast is exactly the same format as the year courses in Nottingham, the year courses in Nottingham and the year course in Dundee. It is a first-year straightforward dental implant course to bring practitioners into implant dentistry, geared towards general dental practitioners and to catapult them to 50 implants per year.
It will give access to year 2 and year 3, which are hosted in Nottingham, but also to many of the other courses that we provide, which we're going to roll out in the 3 countries that we're working in. We hope next year to provide courses in aesthetic life skills, sinus lifts, immediate full arch reconstruction and other master classes in aesthetics, rich preservation and consultation, all at Marlborough.
We hope that this will be able to become our extended hub, not just because we want to provide education for the people in Northern Ireland, (and the whole of Ireland) but because we want to continue to work closely with David and Brenda because to be able to work on something exciting is brilliant, but to be able to do it with some of your best friends is truly wonderful.
If you're based in Northern Ireland or you know someone who is, and if you want to start the process of learning how to be a GDP that provides extraordinary implant dentistry, then get in touch, and I'll see you in April.
