Placing implants during a year implant course

Undertaking a year implant course without any practical implementation of your skills is a waste of time and one of the reasons why industry analytics suggest that up to 90% of people who attend implant courses are not placing implants two years later.

At The Campbell Academy we are committed to changing that statistic and ensuring that people who attend our course have the right grounding and support to go on to place implants after their teaching experience is completed. That is why we commit to all delegates to place implants during our year course and to encourage and support them to find patients from their own practice who are happy to be treated by them through assessment, discussion, consent, treatment and follow up. We have the opportunity and the facility at the practice for delegates to work on multiple cases at whatever level they are comfortable, therefore to place multiple implants throughout the course both on the course itself and within their own practice if they feel this is appropriate.

The number of cases for individual delegates varies depending on their stage of implant development and their ability to secure patients within their own practice environment but we encourage as many of these as possible and have the facility at the practice to host as many cases as delegates would like to place.

By the end of the course we expect delegates to be comfortable assessing implant cases and identifying them as straightforward, advanced and complex. We expect them to be competent in planning straightforward implant dentistry and to carry out straightforward implant dentistry in their own practice, looking to move towards fifty implants per year and moving towards advanced implant dentistry procedures.

We have many people who have completed our courses before who are delighted to discuss the content of the course and what they have gained from it with individuals considering course attendance. We are happy to pass on details for anyone who would like to discuss this or take a look at our testimonials page.
