An update on The DES Conference – don’t be shy

We introduced The DES Conference in the blog a couple of weeks ago, you can read it here.

The intention was to put together something innovative in dental education an impressive speaker line up, brilliant venue, brilliant catering something the like of which I’ve not been to before.

It’s particularly set around the format of the talks, which are no more than twenty minutes for each speaker, therefore lots of different subjects and very punchy, attention grabbing lectures.

We set up an online booking system for this and even offered it free of charge for 100 of our best referring dentists in the first instance so I have been quite amazed and not a little bit disappointed to find out that at this stage there are only 12 people signed up out of a total possible 80.

If you’re holding back or didn’t see it the first time then please book on here.

If you know anyone that might be interested please would you pass this onto them? We really wanted to make this a successful thing and we were hoping to run it year on year.

It’s fine if we’re not able to, we will just use the day we have booked as a team day but it would be a shame for us to not be able to engage with each other in something which is a little bit innovative and thought provoking.

The speaker line up is brilliant too. It’s not designed to make a profit, it’s only out of us wanting to do something decent and different that it got set up in the first place.

Thanks very much.
