When the GDC came – one person’s view of a process: A slight change of plan

Written by Marie Price | 27/01/15 18:00

The response to yesterday's blog post was nothing short of extraordinary, I have never known anything like it.

Firstly, I would like to say thank you to anybody who took the time to contact me and people have contacted me by the dozens in every different way; emails, texts, comments on the blogs, direct messages on Facebook, direct messages on Twitter, comments on Facebook and telephone calls.

As I say, the response has been overwhelming and I will try to get back to each and every person who has commented but for the moment I have decided to hold off on publishing the next five blogs in the series for the following reason:

This was never meant to be a criticism of a process and it is not the criticism of  a process. This is my experience of going through the current process in the hope that it will open a discussion as to whether the Registrant's experience is acceptable. Many people feel that the Registrant's experience going through this process is irrelevant but I would like to counter that argument and would like to present the case through my eyes in the hope that it will open a discussion.

That said, I do not want to be able to be accused of bringing the profession into disrepute nor causing any difficulty for any individuals and I have asked for advice on the further five posts from various angles before I decided to post them.

I hope that you will bear with me at this time because I want to get this right so that it provokes the maximum amount of discussion but in the meantime I will 'keep my powder dry' so please keep watching this space, please keep commenting and keeping in touch.

My email address is: colin@campbell-clinic.co.uk if anybody would like to enter into any conversations.

I will be back soon.
