An introduction to dental implant nursing, designed by Nurses, for Nurses
The Campbell Academy's Online Dental Implant Nursing Course has been designed by nurses for nurses!
This introductory course has been created specifically for like-minded and ambitious individuals keen to participate in an innovative and unique training experience for dental nurses. It has been exclusively designed and developed by The Campbell Clinic's exceptional team of (implant) dental nurses to support, nurture, and guide dental nurses new to implant dentistry.
The content covered across each of the modules is designed to guide and stretch dental nurses. This includes eight projects that will develop attendees' skills and knowledge for their career development and use in practice.
The entire course is completed online on The Campbell Academy's Learning Management System and Slack channel. This provides an extremely flexible format for attendees, meaning they can complete the weekly learning content at a time that suits them.
The course capacity is limited to 20 and is suited to Qualified Dental Nurses with no experience or limited exposure to implant dentistry in general practice.
For a limited time, you can access all the course content on-demand for just £199 (inc. VAT) - a huge saving from the regular £600 price.
✅ Access to all Course Module lecture content delivered through recorded videos.
❌ Interactive Assessments to track your progress and understanding are not available on the on-demand version.
If you would like to complete the course with live coaching, support and assessments, you can join the next full edition of the course, which begins in February 2025.

For many years, we have delivered implant training for dentists. However, our friends and colleagues have asked us to introduce training explicitly intended for nurses new to implant dentistry.
We are in the perfect position to introduce this new online course! This is due to the faculty's academic knowledge and practical, day-to-day exposure to implant surgery through working for a dental practice specifically designed for this type of treatment.
This innovative online course consists of eight modules over four weeks, with associated projects that provide attendees with a unique and interactive experience. A dedicated Slack channel (communication platform) allows all course delegates to engage as a group and with the course faculty.
We designed the modules and projects to develop the skills and knowledge needed for you to become a competent and confident implant dental nurse, aid your career development, and be effectively implemented in your role in general practice.
We welcome and encourage dental nurse delegates to attend The Year Implant clinical days alongside their dentist on the Year Implant course (if applicable).
Please note that you can complete the course alongside your work and domestic commitments.

Becky has been a dental nurse for 19 years and has worked for The Campbell Clinic for 10 years. She is qualified in BDA radiography, implant impression, and photography and is also a NEBDN-qualified implant dental nurse. This has enabled her to become the surgical team leader, supporting the other nurses.
Becky predominantly works with the implant team, supporting them, ordering components, and planning cases with the clinicians. Her specialist interest is learning the digital side of the industry.
Becky runs the Diagnostic Nurse Lead clinic, which currently consists of two afternoons of IOS scans, CBCTs, consents, and sedation assessments, ready for the clinician to start their planning process.
Becky enjoys this side of the role, speaking to many different people, and is looking forward to many more years expanding her role with a fantastic team.
Brooke began her dental nursing career in 2012 and gained her NEBDN diploma in 2014. Following this, she went straight on to complete her BDA certificate in dental radiography, which enabled her to take patient X-rays. Brooke spent many years working in general private practice before wanting to learn something more.
She joined the team here at The Campbell Clinic in 2020. Shortly after joining, Brooke identified her keen interest in dental implant nursing and nursing for complex surgical cases, and she gained a NEBDN certificate in dental implant nursing. Her main reason for this interest is to see the transformation and how truly life-changing these treatments can be for patients. Her all-time favourite treatment to be involved in is IFAL. This is a long and complex day for all, but nothing beats seeing patients' reactions to their new smiles. Some patients have searched for years to find somewhere to give them a smile they feel confident with, so seeing that transformation is gratifying.
Because of her keen interest in this area, Brooke went on to complete my NEBDN certificate in dental implant nursing. She has been a dental nurse for over ten years and has found implant dentistry to be the most enjoyable aspect of dentistry. She can be very involved in patients' appointments, taking CBCTs, and giving pre- and post-operative advice, and she finds it great to be hands-on.
Outside work, Brooke enjoys walking her cocker spaniel, Ozzy, with her husband and travelling to new places. She is also a passionate food enthusiast.

Beatriz began her studies at Barcelona University (Spain) and soon developed a special interest in Oral Surgery. She completed a postgraduate course in the field, focusing on removing impacted wisdom teeth.
After moving to England in 2010, Beatriz enrolled in her first formal postgraduate Implant course at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute (PG Dip), London. Once she finished, she wanted to continue studying and gaining experience, which led to her joining the University of Central Lancashire MSc, which she completed in 2017.
She has been placing implants since 2015 and now dedicates two days a week exclusively to dental implants, placing around 100 yearly. She feels confident in different scenarios and provides straightforward, advanced, and complex implant surgery, including extensive grafting cases, multiple implant placement, and all aspects of minor oral surgery. She is experienced in digital workflow and uses CBCT as the gold standard for case planning.
Beatriz was involved in different formative programmes as a student, which means she knows the learners’ necessities and can listen very closely to their views. She has taught and lectured at various levels in both practical and theoretical fields, from serving as an assistant teacher at the University of Barcelona to receiving awards at national-level congresses.
She has been part of The Campbell Academy faculty since 2016 and is heavily involved in teaching, mentoring, and developing programme content.
Apart from dentistry, Beatriz enjoys travelling and cooking and is always ready to talk about them! Her young family keeps her busy outside of work.
"This course has given me the confidence needed to better understand implant procedures, not only for myself but also to pass my knowledge on to the other nurses at our practice.
I also feel our team will benefit from the implant checklists and the implant restorative flow chart we have created for better understanding and to be able to use them in our practice to make life a bit easier. I feel more confident providing patients with post-op instructions, and hopefully, in the future, it’ll be something the nurses in our practice can do full-time. I really enjoyed this course; I found it covered everything needed in implant procedures and it was good to see the videos of the set-up, decontamination process and the kits and understand better what stage each bur is used for."

I also stated that I would like to learn new skills and improve my role as an implant nurse, which I certainly have. The in-depth information about the kits and all the different drill bits/instruments and what exactly they are used for was really helpful.
Since completing this course, I have gained many new strengths, from creating my own flow chart, which can now be used in my practice to help myself and all the other nurses, to being confident and capable of reading and fully understanding post-operative instructions to patients. This was one of my weaknesses, but I am now confident and ready to do this in my own surgery.
My plans/goals for the future are to continue gathering knowledge and continue to be a good and confident implant nurse."
“It has been really helpful to learn from the LMS [the system the course is delivered on] and from other students.
I already feel much more confident assisting and am more knowledgeable when talking to the dentist and patients and making notes. This will increase as we do more, and I implement the things/documents I have created and learnt."
The course includes both online learning and practical elements. While all the theoretical content is delivered online, you will be required to demonstrate the skills you’ve learned by submitting videos of yourself performing the techniques. Don’t worry; you won’t need any live patients for this part!
