During the pandemic of 2020, the team at The Campbell Academy decided to put together a new digital education offering which would be an entirely online-based offering not dissimilar to Seth Godin’s ‘Bootstrapper’s Workshop’.
For years we have run a year-long business course where delegates attend six two-day modules, face-to-face, and we give them the tools to write a detailed and all-encompassing plan for their business for years to come. This is an ideal way to educate and influence but it is not feasible for many people.
Our new 6-week Business course is an online, self-directed teaching package based on Seth Godin’s ‘Bootstrapper’s Workshop,’ which Colin participated in during 2020.
This inexpensive course relies on the motivation and self-direction of the people who attend to apply themselves for six weeks. An overview of the 6 weeks can be found below, but in summary, the majority of the course is completed through self-directed learning from your own home on our digital platforms, where we will release weekly projects for you to complete. There will be access to members of The Academy team to support you through each project where necessary, in addition to an introductory and closing live webinar with Colin.
Moreover, there will be access to a course Slack channel throughout the course, providing attendees with a platform for discussing the projects themselves and sharing additional knowledge and day-to-day experiences.
The course will provide the tools to write your dental business plan for the new world to take you forward with a framework of technical information and hope.
Following completion of this course, participants will have an improved understanding of the following:
The course is spread across six weeks and is bookended by an introductory week and a final week designed to finish any final parts of your projects. In between, there are 4 weeks where you will be required to complete two projects a week to be submitted each Thursday and Sunday.
The course has been designed to be extremely flexible for attendees enabling delegates to work this around their clinical time. Therefore, most of the work can be completed at a time that suits the delegate. A summary of the key dates can be found below.

Colin’s practice is limited to surgical implant dentistry. Colin is a Specialist in Oral Surgery with considerable experience within the ITI and the Leadership of the ITI within the UK. He has placed in the region of 4,000 dental implants and restored approximately 1,000. He has been teaching in implant dentistry since 2000.
Colin has been the architect and designer of many implant courses previously for other organisations and now The Campbell Academy takes a considerable amount of his time in providing implant and dental education the way he believes it should be done.
After beginning her career in dentistry as a trainee Dental Nurse in 2005, Hayley soon began working with Colin as his Senior Dental Nurse. Subsequently, in 2012, Hayley became The Campbell Clinic Managing Director and has played a crucial role in the recent move to the new Campbell Clinic facility.
With more years of experience, than he'd like to admit, Carl worked as a Physiotherapist prior to joining the Campbell Clinic as a Sales and Business Development Director. A career spanning 20 years included NHS work in the acute sector, and private sector, building a national network of physiotherapy practices whilst also working with some truly great and inspirational colleagues and clients in sport, music, and film. He brings this wealth of experience to the Campbell Academy with his specialist interest being utilising those experiences and skills to help you reach your goals ... whilst staying 'young enough' in mind and body to run around the garden with his kids.
After managing The Campbell Academy since its launch in 2014, Tom expanded his role within the business in early 2021 and is now the Education and Marketing Director.
After graduating from the University of East Anglia in 2013 with a History degree, Tom has recently completed a Digital Marketing Degree at Nottingham Trent University alongside full-time employment. Moreover, he is currently completing his final assessment for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing which is due to be completed by the summer of 2023.
Away from work, Tom is a keen football fan and has held a season ticket at Arsenal for nearly 20 years.
