The Campbell Academy Blog

Two years to the day from what was a big day

Two years ago I presented an aesthetic master class in the middle of a building site which we called The Campbell Academy.

I can’t believe it’s two years gone.

At that stage we were hoping to survive, I find myself now hoping to survive.

At that stage it felt like we had nothing, it felt like we had ran out of money and it felt like we had ran out of energy and it felt like we had landed on the moon with only a thimble of fuel left.

Then we had the pandemic.

It feels now that we have something to lose, something to protect and something to nurture.

That’s at least as dangerous as where we were then.

What got us here was the spirit of 'we’re all going to die', what needs to get us from here onwards is the spirit of ‘we all want to win’.

The aesthetic master class that I presented then I’ll present again this year (probably once every two years is enough). It will be a whole different experience and not one where we play a video of people saying well done for opening The Campbell Clinic and where I cry, sobbing at the end with my family because I’m completely empty and broken.

It will be much better as an educational experience and much better as an inspirational experience.

Where were you two years ago?

Where have you come from then?

Where will you be on the 31st January 2024?
