The Campbell Academy Blog

Time for a change?

Almost always, I do a blog like this at this time of year and almost always I think I shouldn't do it because I'm asking people to buy things or it’s totally sales driven or people will see through me and think that I'm an idiot.

But actually, every time I write this blog, we get contacted by someone who's grateful that we've written it, who moves along to the next stage of what they want to do.

And so, I'm going to introduce you to a couple of courses that start next year at the Academy, and if you're a dentist and you're floundering around in a career that's not really inspiring you and not giving you what you want, then I want you to remember the following thing.

“Your work exists to give you the life you want”.

This is a phrase I use all the way through the business course for the guys that come here and in fact, one that I spoke to someone about at work recently who was suffering from stress and facial pain conditions related to stress, who was just too busy and hellish at their work for too long.

And so, I'll repeat it because I always say it twice.

“Your work exists to give you the life you want”

And so, below and towards the end of this post are two links to courses that we provide, which genuinely have been proven time and time again to make people's working lives better.

Both of these will give you a step into the world of implant dentistry and allow you to decide whether that's a world for you, which could change your working profile and your pattern, bringing more inspiration, more time to see patients and just a better working life.

That's what implant dentistry did for me.

Both of these courses give you an extraordinary amount of support based on the format of them, but also take you into places just beyond clinical dentistry to those other things about working life, which are at least as important as the clinical stuff and perhaps even more important.

This includes face to face chats about stuff that's difficult, business, marketing, finance, that type of stuff, the stuff that nobody really teaches you about anywhere else, unless you commission an extraordinary, expensive project.

So, the first of the courses is the Online Restorative Course.

This is the easiest way to get to see if implant dentistry is for you.

It runs over a six-week period, there's only four weeks of teaching, we send you all the stuff in a box, and you can start restoring implants at the end because you're competently based for straightforward implant restoration following this.

It's based around a slack discussion model; video projects and hands-on exercises and you can decide after that whether you want to go deeper into implant dentistry or whether that knowledge is enough.

The second is our year implant course, and this year that has changed again, with much more content added and much more material for you to learn all the basics of straightforward implant dentistry and to come out the other end meeting, assessing and treating your own patients in your own practice and moving forwards into career of surgical and restorative implant dentistry.

Also, these courses are great because they’re brilliant places to meet and to connect and to share your views and your thoughts and your hopes and fears with people that you wouldn't be able to do otherwise (maybe those are the best bits).

The links are below, and I really hope that this new year you might think about expanding your horizons and moving into a better place.
