It’s very comfortable to surround yourself with people who agree with what you say.

People who accept your world view or your ego or your tantrums or your insufficiencies.

Often people will accept you, for the short coming, because you pay them or because you have some sort of power over them.

This is ultimately the road to ruin though. The inability to surround yourself with people who challenge you, who you allow to point out your deficiencies and who you’re prepared to learn from, is a terrible feeling indeed.

Seek out people who have other talents that you don’t and encourage them to speak out, that is where success comes from, that if where forward motion comes from, that’s where progress is.
