The Best Days?

It's Friday again, at The Campbell Clinic, these are the best of days.

A year one course, the second cohort for this year are having the restorative teaching in the academy next door to my room as we speak.

The office is pretty full, the clinic is full, 5–6 rooms running, lots of people around, but it's Friday. On these days when I am unscheduled, no clinical work (that’s rare for a Friday) and not away teaching somewhere else,  I get to spend the time catching up, doing the things that I think are most important in the time that I have, but generally having conversations with the people who work here.

I remember on days like this, as I look out my window to the beautiful view that we have in the clear sky and the sunshine, that life is pretty good for us, eh? It could be a lot worse.

Making the most of days like this, understanding that in these days we can create amazing things,  opportunities, ideas, collaborations, but also the fact that just for a minute you can take a breath and think:  It’s OK, just for now.

It won't be in a minute, and there'll be another crisis tomorrow or the day after.
But right now in these days, it's all good.
