Problem Solving

The thing about problem solving is that it takes practise, and the thing about practising problem solving is that you need problems.

The problem with finding problems, to practise problem solving, is that all of our lives now are designed to avoid problems; we seek comfort, we seek control, we seek to manage our environments so that there are no ups and downs so that our entertainment is controlled, our eating is controlled, our temperature is controlled, no risks, no problems, no problem solving.

The problem with this is that there's nothing you can do to avoid the problems, and so trying to foster an attitude where you seek out problems to solve, so that you're better able to solve the problems that come along when you aren't seeking them, is perhaps the best approach.

There will never be a time when there are no problems.

Probably best if we get ready to solve them.
