On the Turkey holiday, lying beside the pool, falling in and out of daytime sleeps, and reading books allowed me to engage in vision creation to improve my life going forward.
Vision creation is the process by which we can view in our mind's eye alternative futures or alternative options for the route that we're taking.
It works for life.
It works for business.
It works for pretty much anything.
We sometimes need permission for this, one of the most critical tasks that we can ever carry out because we're supposed to be working instead of vision-creating.
And so, if you said to someone, I'm going into my office to have an hour of vision creating they would look you up and down like you were gone out and you needed to take some tablets for some sort of condition you were suffering from.
It's also a task or a process where you often get it wrong or have to go through multiple iterations and options related to the vision until you settle on something that you want.
But it's a massive and important part of anybody's life if they can harness the possibilities.
We need permission to do this; at least, we need to permit ourselves, but there is another name for vision creation, isn't there?
It's daydreaming, and we need to give permission to our children to daydream and to ourselves to daydream because taking time to daydream is some of the greatest time that we can ever spend.
