Not too high with the highs…

Re the job from last week.

I got it (unexpectedly for me).

It starts on Thursday.

I'll have plenty to talk about here about all of the stuff to do with that.

The first place I go is somewhere else; I'll tell you about that when I've been.

It's funny, though, isn't it, how life keeps you in check?

I took a phone call from the head guy in education for the ITI on Sunday night—a really famous professor from Amsterdam who's a pioneer of digital dentistry.

He offered me the job, and I took it, and then I went outside to the garden to pick up a dog sh*t.

Keeping your feet on the ground that's what I'm all about and precisely what my wife is about.

And so, it was easier to deal with the fact that on Monday, while I was at my brother-in-law's house having a BBQ and taking congratulations from the rest of my family, I twisted my ankle while playing football with my nephew and thought I'd broken it.

I spent three hours in A&E with Alison (she was amazing) with an ankle at least twice the size it was supposed to be.

I was convinced it was broken after the noise I'd heard when I twisted it.

It turns out it's only some ligament damage and some crutches, which is going to scupper my plans to some degree for starting the job on Thursday in another country.

You know what, though, not too high with the highs and not too low with the lows.

It'll be right. It'll always be right.
