Losing the will to give

Written by Colin Campbell | 07/05/17 17:00

Apart from the sociopaths (10% apparently) the only point for the rest of us is to give.

The sociopaths accumulate at the top of the tree because it’s easier to get to the top of the tree if you wont give a shit about anybody else, but the problem with the sociopaths at the top of the tree is that they dictate the culture for everyone else which is a ‘don’t give a s*£t’ culture.

For the rest of us that culture does not work because we are pre-programmed, I would suggest from an evolutionary basis, towards altruism. The system run by the sociopaths drives us toward grabbing and grabbing and grabbing instead of giving and giving and it breaks us psychologically but we are stuck in this system. You know things are bad when you realise you are caught in the poverty / wealth trap (they’re both exactly the same) and your existence has become one of accumulation of stuff despite the fact that you continue to spout the words that say otherwise. This is where the concept of intellectual honesty comes into play; the ability to step back or to rise up from your current situation and to look down upon it. It’s never been an easier world to change direction, find something different or find something new, but certainly to find some way to contribute.

The emails will still be there tomorrow and everyone is feeling the same discontent and frustration that you are, it’s just that only a small percentage of that mass will step aside, turn around and give back and they will be the ones that win. Perhaps not financially, but spiritually and psychologically and in the end that is what everyone is looking for, even if some people still believe that it’s wrapped up in £100 notes.
