Just a Little Bit Better…

I think Barack Obama left the world just a little bit better than when he found it after his presidency.

You can argue the point and say he was bad but I think on balance, from where I see it, the things that he did took the scales to good, not too bad.

I think it’s true that Ghandi did that too, and probably Martin Luther King, but they only did it a bit.

We’re all just a little drop in time of space and we get the choice to make it a little bit better or a little bit worse.

To make it a little bit better there is a life time of work, you have to try and try and not give up.

To do anything else is to abdicate your responsibility, even if you don’t overtly make things worse, you do by your remission of responsibility.

Making things better can be spending time with your kids when you’re with them and paying attention.

Making things better can be cooking for your kids so they eat things that aren’t garbage.

Making things better can be learning something instead of watching crap on TV.

Making things better can be looking after yourself so that you’re in a position to try and make things better.

It’s simple this, but very, very difficult because the urge every day is to just give up, sit down and let the world go by.
