How to Eat Your Breakfast

Written by Colin Campbell | 07/02/18 18:00

The world is a market place and you can choose where to buy.

We live in an age where it is almost impossible to comprehend the choices that we have and the opportunities that lie in front of us; eating breakfast is no different to this.

For next to nothing you can go to McDonalds, they’re everywhere, almost one of every corner 24 hours a day. When you live in any of the mainly populated parts of the UK you are never more that 3 or 4 miles away from a McDonalds.

You can get what you’re told ‘a good breakfast’ for very little money even though it has been designed and contrived to make you want more and spend more and come back again.

The environment is consistent and when I say consistent I say that in the most derogatory of terms.

On the other hand, you can have breakfast at La Fabrica like I did back in September when I was in Girona. The photograph attached to this is the photograph of the breakfast that Craig and I had.

You can have it surrounded by people ‘like you’ in a place surrounded by things that you like. It can inspire you, feed you and be sensational.

It can be served by someone with a smile on their face who loves to work where they are and can’t help you enough. It can be unique and unforgettable.

You get to choose (pretty much) where and what you can eat for breakfast, but the other thing is that you get to choose what type of provider of a breakfast you want to be.

If you want to work like an automaton then get a job in McDonalds, work for the man and don’t ask any questions, otherwise start making brilliant breakfasts for somebody else.
