We have just finished the second day of module 1 of the Business Course which has started for the second year.
We’re at the Carriage Hall again in Nottingham which is an extraordinary venue and despite the horrendous weather and the travelling from all parts of England and Wales, everybody made it and we had the most fantastic two days.
The format is the same, it takes half a day for people to trust the fact that they’re actually in an amazing environment where people will share their thoughts and ideas and everyone starts to learn.
Half way through Day 1 I was able to sit back and watch people start to debate problems between their practices, and my role of ‘facilitator’ came to life.
Even though the snow down south was terrible Steve Booth made the trip for the day, he’s the managing director of Straumann and has an extraordinary story to tell people about his rise from the bottom of the company to the top which he turns on its head.
We set a project for these guys, they have to go away and meet with me online via a video conferencing platform on Tuesday night to talk about their projects. They then go away to do their projects before returning next time to review it.
The mix of people on this course is extraordinary, there is a couple who own 9 practices which is rising to 11 in a few week’s time, there are independent implant practices and young guys who have just brought their own practice or trying to buy.
We’re going to take some videos of these guys so that they can talk about their journey, keep an eye out for that. If you’re interested in this course then let us know because we’re already opening the doors for 2019 and for various reasons that will be an even more extraordinary year than this.
