Much of the time we pass through life assuming that people understand that we’re grateful for the help that they give.
At best, we say “thank you” without being explicit about exactly what we’re grateful for.
The next time you're appreciative of something why not go the extra mile and expand on the thank you by saying “thank you for…”.
“Thank you for being such a good friend to me”, “thank you for all of the help you’ve given me over these years”.
“Thank you for being my wife”.
It’s easy to assume that people understand what’s going on inside our head but in truth, it rarely ever happens like that.
