Blocking out the haters

Written by Colin Campbell | 27/11/18 18:00

I had a conversation at the charity ball last week with a brilliant person who has attended several of our Campbell Academy courses and become a real friend of us, of me, of what we do.

They were a little bit tipsy when they were talking to me.

They told me that since attending my courses they find they have to defend me to half the people they talk to.

First, I was surprised, then I was shocked, then I was a little bit hurt and then I was delighted.

We (I) are not doing a bad thing. We’re doing a good thing and trying to do the right thing, as least as far as we see it.

So, first of all to hear that seems hurtful… and then I remembered and it was all alright again.

‘First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win’

I have passed the ignoring stage and I have been laughed at more times than I care to remember. If they’re fighting me then I’m almost there.
