It takes about 10 good things to offset the bad thing, doesn’t it?
We received about 25 to 30 referrals this week for new patients at the practice, but we lost 1 to someone else. That’s even worse, that’s 30 to 1.
I got asked to lecture, to help plan a conference and to help plan courses for a major corporation, but the one bit of negative feedback is the thing that occupies my mind.
This must be an evolutionary trait, to promote progress.
Or perhaps, it’s a character defect, that makes it almost impossible for me to celebrate anything.
Either way, it’s at least a 10 to 1 game.
I’ve driven the car around 10 times this week and not crashed or killed anybody, but I did get a speeding ticket and I’m not thinking about the good journeys.
